Vacuum & Gas MAP is a packaging process that begins by removing air from the tray through vacuum application. A controlled gas mixture is then introduced at specific pressures before the tray is sealed, locking the atmosphere inside with the product.
The Italian Pack Olympus tray sealing machine is a semi-automatic system designed for a wide range of packaging applications. Models are available for seal only, partial vacuum, skin pack, gas flush, and MAP formats.
The machine features a rotating turntable system that reduces downtime by allowing loading and unloading on one side while the sealing cycle is completed on the opposite side. An optional automatic tray lifter is available to further increase output speeds.
The same die/mould system can be configured for different packaging formats including seal only, MAP and skin packaging.
