Mike Bass joined Windsor Food Machinery in September 2006 and has worked his way through the various departments and therefore he understands from the ground up, the facets of Windsor Food Machinery’s business. From an engineer he moved across to sales when the company took over Henkelman UK Ltd in 2013. Mike is now responsible for the ongoing development of Henkelman sales. He is passionate about work as well as his love of football and golf.

Alex Carmichael

Alex started life as a butcher, before joining Windsor Food Machinery when it was first established over 21 years ago. Alex’s butchery knowledge has proved to be invaluable and his relationship with our customers and his knowledge of their products and processes is a great advantage. Alex brings a smile or whistle with him wherever he goes, sometimes even a song! Rest assured though his ability to maintain equipment is second to none. He is our “product champion” when it comes to vacuum packing technology.

Chas Hershaw joined WFM in June 2017 as a Sales Engineer. Having worked in the meat production industry for over 30 years, Chas is an extremely talented and knowledgeable engineer. He’s used to dealing with commercial meat factories and possesses a wealth of engineering skills. As Chas understands how the machinery works, he’s best placed to recommend and sell meat processing equipment and systems to customers.

Director

Karen’s original working life started as a PA before branching out in to PR/journalism. With a desire to have a job with a company car though, she decided to try her luck at sales and was Dairy Crest’s first trainee sales person. She remained in the cheese industry heading up a national sales team in the UK for an international cheese manufacturer, leaving to have her first child. After this, she joined Tim in the business and is now responsible for the company’s marketing and finance.

Graham is one of the ‘founding fathers’ of WFM having worked at the company from its first trading day 21 years ago. His engineering knowledge is phenomenal, acquired over a life time of working in this industry. This invaluable expertise he passes on to his engineer team and is our customers best friend when it comes to having their essential equipment repaired, maintained or refurbished. Recommend not playing him at Golf though as he invariably takes the prize!

He comes with a wealth of meat, retail and butchery experience having started his working life in the family butchery business to then running it as his own business.Glen also spent 2 years working as the Store Manager for the prestigious Allens of Mayfair before joining Rooks where he spent the last 6 years.He is a keen sportsman and enjoys golf so he will fit in with the golfing fraternity within our company!

Tim started life as a butcher running a Dewhurst shop having joined as a Saturday boy. Having got fed up plucking turkeys every Christmas he then moved in to wholesaling meat. Then he joined GEC Avery Berkel and it’s there that he got a taste and passion for sales. Detesting company politics, he decided to set up his own company and in 1994 Windsor Food Machinery was born. Tim loves the meat trade and is proud to be liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Butchers.
